Silent retreat - open day 2011
The "open day" at this retreat witch is once a year was a day with both rain and sun. Witch actually is quite suited for what the place represents. The regions bishop Olav Skjevesland opened the new chapel. Erica Grunnevoll and Hilde Sanden gave a special lecture during the day. Mayor Ivar Lindal gav a fabulous speech as well. The art you see in the background with the subject "prisme" is by renowned artist Barbro Raen Thomassen.

The outside dance is always something I like forward to and this year was a special dance with children. (who danced even though it was pouring down at the start of the day) The sun came out beautifully at the end and the day ended with a concert. If you are from Norway I recomend following prestegarden on Facebook. Or else I would book a trip to Norway and make sure you got a little silent retreat in the package.

You will thank me for this one!
I first bought this because I love innovation. I love new products with new features. And hot water in three seconds was something I haven't seen before. When I tried it out in the kitchen (where I already have a water boiler that's fast) I thought that this is something that you test out once but there is no meaning to it and you never use it again. And for the kitchen it was the case. But then I thought of my home office upstairs and how I keep going up and down for tee.
It turns out that this thing is genius for the office table. You put some cups and tee/coffee next to it and you don't have to move from your chair at all! It's the ultimate lazy gadget and time saver so you can keep on working. Highly recommended product for my. (don't think it cost much eather, about $60-80)

Icing on the cake?
Here is the interview I did last week with NRK. The article could be pages long and it`s not easy to say something short on such a huge subject. A lot of people want to clean the web from offensive comments regarding rase and religion in Norway after the terrorist attack. The discusion is also on whether you should be able to be anonymous or not in your comments online. I`m afraid that people as this article show can say the most offensive thing with full name! And do we really want everything to look peachy online if the reality is that people are sitting in there homes with the exact same opinions. I don`t have the solution. I just don`t like the idea of the web turning into icing on the cake and not reflecting reality.
